Capsaicin tricks the brain of mammals into thinking there is a burn injury by attaching to neuron receptors on our skin and mouth. Birds do not have these receptors and do not experience any effects of capsaicin. Thus, capsaicin makes the perfect repellent to keep squirrels out of birdseed and rodents out of chicken feed. Unlike other similar commercial products, our repellent is made from some of the hottest peppers available! so be careful when using! AND you will be emailed and asked to electronically sign a waiver form before the item is shipped! Wear protective gear when using, keep out of reach of children and pets (and mammal livestock if using in chicken feed).
